Our goal for our Family Ministry is to support and lift up our families as they raise their children.
We want to show the love of Jesus and help families to know they are not in this alone;
God is with them and we are too!!!
PBC's Family Ministry works to support our families in two main ways at this time:
1.) Programmatically with events to allow families to gather with other families for fun, fellowship, and support. Please be on the lookout for
information about events in the future such as family movie nights.
2.) We want to provide resources to help parents have open, Biblically based conversations about what can be difficult topics in our culture.
One of the resources we provide is through Axis Ministries, based out of Colorado Springs. Axis is an organization whose aim and focus is to make conversations about difficult topics easier to have with your teenager. They help train parents and students how to think Biblically about culture, media, and technology. All these resources are designed to help parents understand better the culture their student is living in with a Biblical viewpoint.

Conversation Kits
These video conversation starters help you learn and discuss these important issues with your teens in a non-awkward, fun way. Each of the dozens of kits cover a single topic: tricky issues like gender, pornography, suicide, and drugs as well as philosophical concepts like evangelism, leadership, and identity. Conversation Kits bring generations together around a common gospel.
Parent Guides
Over 100 full guides on current topics so that you an learn everything you need to know to have a confident conversation with your teen or pre-teen. We know it’s hard to keep track of everything teens are into, let alone know how to talk about them. But it doesn’t have to be! Axis has created these downloadable PDFs to help you understand the things your teens face, how to have conversations about them, and how to biblically disciple the teens in your life into lifelong faith through it all.
The Culture Translator
This is your weekly window into the latest trends, slang and topics in pop culture that your teen or pre-teen is hearing about online and through their friends. It helps you know what topics to discuss and keeps you “in the know” when you overhear your kid mention them. It arrives in your inbox every Friday morning.
